**CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR** Andrews.engineer (A.E) is a consulting civil engineering company exclusively focused on municipal asset management. We are, first and foremost, sewer engineering experts. Founded in 1993, A.E has extensive experience and involvement in all stages of sewer asset management including collection and storage of sewer inventory data, the execution of sewer and manhole condition assessment programs, and the planning, design and construction administration of sewer rehabilitation works. A.E is a growing, employee-owned firm with a team of over 40 professional engineers, technical staff, site inspectors and administration support. As a Contract Administrator on our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction contracts according to specifications and standards. You will lead and manage scheduling for external contractors and internal AE employees to reach contracted objectives. Working both in the office and in the field, you will become a valued member of our team. You will report to the Management Team Lead. - Responsible for construction phase delivery of sewer rehabilitation projects (>5M in contract value) according to contract specifications. - Serve as the central point of contact in representing project owners and liaising with all project stakeholders (e.g., contractors, designers, inspectors, private/public agencies, including the general public) throughout construction. - Lead kick-off, progress, and close-out meetings including preparation of agendas and minutes. - Preparation of contract administration documents (payment certificates, RFQs, RFI responses,Change Orders/Directives, Field Instructions, etc.) - Review contract initiation documents, pre/postconstruction submittals, and prepare construction closeout reporting (deficiency resolution, as-built records, substantial performance certification, holdback release payments, and lessons learned). - Manage, negotiate, and control contract changes, resolve/mediate conflicts, and handle claims. - Supervising field inspection staff and ensuring quality of daily observation reports. - Conduct field visits, inspections, and provide site support as needed. - Working directly with engineering team by contributing to constructability reviews and specification development during the design phase. Active projects include processing and management of a local and trunk sewer program in the City of Toronto, trunk sewer rehabilitation in the City of Toronto, manhole inspection and rehabilitation in the Region of Peel. **Preferred Education and Experience** - Individuals who have previously held a Construction Manager or Supervisor, or Construction Project Manager or Coordinator role would be well suited - Civil background with substantial (5 to 10 years) experience/specialization in existing linear water and waste water infrastructure rehabilitation and trenchless installation (CIPP lining, slip-lining, spray-lining, pipe bursting, etc.). - Licensed as a Professional Engineer with the PEO and/or Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) **Required Training and Certification** - NASSCO Training o Pipeline & Manhole Assessment Certification Program (PACP/MACP/LACP) - Book 7 Traffic Control - Temporary Work Zones - Confined Space Safety Program - Confined Space Rescue Training - Working at Heights **Awareness or Working Knowledge of some or all of the following**: - Microsoft Office Products (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word) - Occupational Health and Safety Act - Construction Act of Ontario - Project Management Principles - Local Municipal Bylaws - Environmental Protection Legislation **Benefits & Compensation** - 37.5 hour work week - Position is eligible for **Hybrid work** - 3 days “Core” required in-office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays), 2 days “Flex” available to work remotely (Mondays, Fridays) - Renumeration starting at $89,700 annually, or $46 per hour, to be negotiated - Overtime pay - 2 weeks vacation - RRSP matching contributions as a % of earnings - Benefit program after 3 months o Extended Health, Dental and Flex Funds o Life Insurance, AD&D, LTD - Annual Performance Bonus - Life insurance - Free on-site parking - Employer Paid Training - Professional Membership Dues are reimbursed **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $46.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care - Work from home Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Toronto, ON M8Z 4X6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: One location
