**About the Position**:
Reporting directly to the President, the Controller is responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the company and providing accurate information to the Senior Management team, including analysis, budgeting, forecasting and preparation of financial reports. The Controller will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

**Core Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Management of the Accounting Team and oversight of all department functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Planning and Analysis
- Assist with the preparation, completion and audit of financial statements, financial budgets, review of cash flows and general ledger, forecast activities and forecast updates as required in a timely manner and in compliance with GAAP
- Development of predictive financial analytics models to provide insight into the organization’s operations, asset management and investments
- Maintain inventory control procedures and reconciliations to ensure accurate presentation of current financial and operating position
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls, reports, and policies to comply with regulations and development of best practices.
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, including their respective control systems and transaction-processing policies and procedures
- Monitor changes or updates to Ontario and Canadian tax law to ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements; Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns

**Technical Skills and Experience**
- Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA); relevant post-secondary degree (Accounting, Commerce, Finance). Significant relevant experience in a similar industry, will be considered, in lieu of education
- Experience in the Construction, Manufacturing or multi-site Retail industries is desirable
- Expert knowledge of GAAP (ASPE & IFRS)
- 3+ years of leadership experience, managing Accounting teams
- Experience with complex accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains, etc.)

**Interpersonal Skills & Abilities**
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Able to prioritize and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Highly effective interpersonal and leadership skills

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
