**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Products Trader/Marketer will be a key member of the NWR Marketing team responsible for the management of the term agreements and the spot transactions needed to balance the refinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Primary contact for existing term agreements - volume, quality, credit & payment;
- Manage the balancing transactions as it relates to run rate or scheduling issues;
- Provide market intelligence for pricing of all diesel grades, naphtha, and other biproducts;
- Manage Renewables and Low Carbon Fuels product obligations for NWR;
- Liaise with processing agreement stakeholders (Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission/Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.);
- Develop new term and spot sale agreements;
- Act as the NWR representative on various industry associations as required;
- Cross coverage for crude supply and carbon credit functions.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Experience negotiating and managing oil products sales contracts;
- Business Degree or equivalent is an asset;
- Must possess strong leadership and supervisory support skills, looking at the big picture and empowering subordinates appropriately;
- Ability to interface between finance, marketing, customers and external stakeholders;
- Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR’s Core Competencies to drive results and a high performing culture;
- 10+ years’ experience in refinery product trading environment, previous industry working group experience and a wide network in products trading community, crude trade would also be considered an asset;
- Must be able to work in a high performing team environment; provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, proactively collaborate, share, and seek information and guidance;
- Good communicator - verbal, written and presentation skills;
- Must be well organized, a strategic thinker and planner with an ability to recognize when detailed information is required and interpret that detail to evaluate project progress and issues;
- Ability to travel.
