Reporting to the VP Trade and Logistics, our Quarry Park location located in southeast Calgary, is seeking an experienced Trader to maximize grain through the pipeline while managing risk and optimizing gross margins and developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate to develop and execute strategy for the Company in consultation with the Country Operations, Origination Team and company share holders
- Trade grains and pulses within Trading Risk Management Committee policy to achieve company financial and business objectives
- Take a leadership role in the business development of GrainsConnect Canada operations
- Leverage assets and infrastructure and make commercial decisions to maximize revenue
- Contribute to customer focused culture and outcomes of the Company
- Manage relationships with internal and external customers
- Collaborate to optimize results with logistics and trade support team members

**KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
**Essential**
- Minimum 2 years of grain industry experience
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in economics, finance and/or agriculture
- 5+ years’ experience within physical commodities markets
- Expert knowledge of cash trading; including basis, futures and physical grain markets; preferred experience in cross country domestic feed grain
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence a large sphere of stakeholders
- Extremely strong analytical skills and understanding of supply and demand drivers
- International contract management and execution experience
- Strong understanding of the grain supply chain and logistics
- Resilience required to work as part of a growing and complex corporate structure

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in Commerce, Economics or Agriculture
