The Assistant plays a starring role in ensuring the seamless operation of the school store. This role serves as a key contact for families, students, and staff, fostering strong relationships and maintaining a welcoming environment. The Assistant must exhibit enthusiasm, positivity, excellent time management, and a capacity to pivot efficiently and calmly. Flexibility and the ability to work with mínimal supervision or independently are crucial.

We are seeking a motivated individual who will generally work 30-35 hours per week while school is in session (approximately 1100 - 1300 hours per year). You will have a strong customer service background and excellent time management skills. This role may be particularly appealing to individuals engaged in self-paced or evening studies or parents of school-aged children.

**What You'll Do**
- Provide exceptional service, assisting with uniforms, supplies and packaged snacks
- Oversee daily cash handling and documentation of student and staff charges
- Ensure accurate merchandise replenishment and display
- Assist in product orders, receive items and scheduled inventory checks
- Foster positive relationships with families, students, and staff

**What We're Looking For**
- Two years of retail experience with key holder or assistant manager experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational skills and a knack for remembering names and faces
- Flexibility in availability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service
