**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to a Senior Director, QEII New Generation, the Director, Planning and Infrastructure provides leadership and direction for the design, build and implementation of the Halifax Infirmary new build aspects of the QEII New Generation project, and on renovation and early work projects that are part of the Redevelopment Work Streams. In addition, the Director provides leadership and direction of the infrastructure functional service planning management of the VG replacement strategies in conjunction with the QEII Redevelopment teams.

The Director will work collaboratively across work streams to develop, implement, create monitoring parameters and establish reporting pathways to keep leadership informed. The Director, Planning and Infrastructure works in partnership with all members of the project team, physicians, operational clinical directors and managers, staff and support service teams, and other key stakeholders as required. The Director Planning and Infrastructure both leads and collaborates with others to implement changes arising from the adoption of the new practices and procedures to ensure the planned and built environment is able to support the clinical service model and clinical service delivery expectations.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Registration as a Professional Engineer (in N.S.) in a relevant Engineering discipline OR Registration as a Professional Architect (in N.S.).
- Senior leadership experience in major healthcare facility planning, design and construction
- Project Management Professional certification a strong asset.
- Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration an asset.
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation an asset.
- Significant experience in a leadership role in planning, design, construction and project management.
- Experience leading a wide range of complex projects and stakeholder teams, committees, etc.
- Experience leading consultation with a diverse range of stakeholder teams
- Strong budgeting, project estimating and financial management skills.
- Proven record of success working with staff, consultants and contractors.
- Strong communication, planning, presentation and organizational skills.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience and competence in building operations and facilities management.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Long-assignment, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$53.91 - $71.63 hourly
