**Schedule**

Full-Time; Seasonal; $22.00/ Hour

**Summary**

The Head Aquatic Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the outdoor aquatic facilities at the Glendale Golf & Country Club. The Head Aquatic Director should be a dedicated professional committed to creating a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and water quality.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment.
- Ensure patron safety by keeping pool policies and rules up-to-date with legislation and Lifesaving Society standards.
- Implement and oversee procedures for maintaining cleanliness in aquatic facilities.
- Monitor and maintain water chemistry.
- Maintain pool equipment in working order (**not** including major repairs).
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage all aquatic staff (approx. 10 lifeguards/instructors).
- Organize all aquatic programs (i.e. swimming lessons, swim camps, pool parties).
- Lifeguarding and instructing lessons as necessary.
- Effective communication with Golf Course Superintendent and other relevant departments.

***Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- An approved Pool Operator Level 1 or the ability to obtain a certificate. (Costs would be covered by the club)
- Current National Lifeguard and Aquatic Emergency Care awards
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
- Pool Operator Level 2 (asset, but not required)
- Good organizational skillsskills.
