**HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN**

ICD is currently seeking a Commercial Transport, Journeyman, Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician to support their growing needs. This position has an attractive fourteen (14) day rotation, working twelve (12) hour shifts per day. We have positions available in the shop and/or field. ICD provides a **fly in fly out **reimbursement allowance for workers across Canada. Housing or camp provided depending on the work location. We offer competitive wages along with a benefit and RSP plan.

**Some duties required for this position include, but are not limited to**:

- Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves, and other related equipment.
- Inspecting, adjusting, and replacing necessary equipment, units, and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
- Providing emergency field assistance to disabled equipment as needed and appropriate.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance activities and repairs on all types of heavy equipment.
- Perform Running Maintenance repairs on various types of heavy equipment.
- Rotate through shop and field assignments as required.
- Perform large component replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
- Participate in the development of, and the ability to follow maintenance procedures and instructions.
- Participate in safety programs and adhere to site safety standards.
- Safely operate company provided equipment.
- Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
- Operating Heavy Equipment when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanic Equipment and/ or Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate
- MVI Certificate an asset not a requirement
- A Valid Driver's License with clean drivers abstract and 3-year Insurance claims history letter
- Marine experience asset
- CSO OR CSTS-09 and OSSA Certificate and asset but not required
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
