Vice President, Strategic Accounts - Calgary

The Vice President, Strategic Accounts will be based in their assigned territory and will be responsible for developing business opportunities with potential strategic account clients, conducting high level strategy client meetings, negotiating national pricing strategies and legal contracts, and developing the field rollout once an agreement is reached. In addition, this role will act as the primary liaison to the client after the negotiations are completed and will conduct quarterly business reviews and assist in resolution of any major issues that arise.

This role is based at one of Robert Half’s offices in Canada and reports directly to the Managing Vice President, Strategic Accounts.

Responsibilities

New business development and client management
- Schedule and conduct client meetings, build relationships with counterparts across the Robert Half enterprise that directly result in lead generation, attend marketing events and leverage the targeted use of electronic marketing and research tools.
- Drive the expansion of Robert Half’s managed solutions offering, capturing market share.
- Develop content and lead presentations for new business with new and existing clients.
- Ensure coordinated follow-up on the 5+ Temp Out report for MBS opportunities.

Solution management
- Provide consultation to clients on managed solutions. Develop recruiting strategies necessary to meet the client’s current and forecasted staffing needs.
- Develop, execute, optimize, and assess managed solutions processes. Ensure team members conform to client processes and quality procedures as defined on a per-engagement basis.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all accounts meet internal corporate engagement guidelines. Set specific account guidelines and policies as required.
- Be well versed in managed solution contract schedules and terms, executing against all commitments and obligations.

Leadership and development
- Participate in forecasting and budgeting process for the practice and participate in the business review process.
- Maintain the highest standards of operational excellence, setting an example for others.
- Define, manage, and lead special projects necessary to enhance our service offering to existing and prospective clients.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to meet client engagements—i.e., on cross-divisional recruitment projects, etc.

Requirements

Accreditations
- University degree, preferably in Commerce, Finance, IT.
- Professional accounting designation or higher qualification (i.e., MBA) is ideal.

Systems and Subject Matter Knowledge
- Deep knowledge of solutions management.
- Familiarity working with Salesforce.

Experience
- A minimum of 5+ years' successful Robert Half Field or Strategic Accounts or Protiviti leadership experience is required
- Accounting, finance, or IT degree and background in Professional Services/Consulting strongly preferred but not required
- Excellent business development, recruiting, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to have meaningful conversations and meetings with senior-level executives regarding their business that will result in long-term client relationships
- History of generating and exceeding business development and revenue goals or targets (either individually or in a leadership position)
- Successful track record of collaboration, ie with Protiviti, Talent Solutions and Strategic Accounts staff in business development activities and structuring of project-based engagements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, consistently good business judgment, outstanding professional presence, training ability and a proven track record of success with Robert Half with practical knowledge of divisional operations and tools
- Ability to travel as required to markets within assigned region.
