RMHC Atlantic is seeking a motivated, optimistic and experienced leader to join our team as the Facilities Manager to support and lead the safe, secure, welcoming and efficiently functioning spaces for Maritime families.

Given the scope and range of responsibilities, it is important that the Facilities Manager possesses strong leadership skills to bring out the best in team members and to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of systems throughout all RMHC Atlantic facilities. The Facilities Manger must have an eye for process improvement, be keen to continue growing their knowledge and skills, have a flexible approach, and be skilled in prioritization.

**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Programs and Operations, the Facilities Manager is responsible for the physical premises of the House and 2 Family Rooms including the safe operation of all building systems, grounds, security, vehicles and technology which support the work of the organization and safeguards the well-being of resident families, staff and volunteers. The portfolio includes overall responsibility for health and safety matters, property and building maintenance, systems support, housekeeping and the efficient operation of the facility.

As a key member of the management team, the Facilities Manager works closely with the Director of Programs and Operations, Family Services Manager as well as other department directors/managers and volunteer committees, as required. He/she contributes to the development and achievement of strategic priorities related to the portfolio, as well as budget development and monitoring. As an organizational leader, the Facilities Manager provides training, support and direction to department staff to achieve high performance.

This is a full-time, permanent position that supports full
- and part-time employees.

**Hours & Location**:
Ronald McDonald House, 1133 Tower Rd., Halifax, NS.

Some travel may be required.

Generally, 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. RMHC Atlantic provides staff with flexible work hours as evenings and weekends are occasionally required to support a 24-hour operation.
