KLS Earthworks & Environmental is hiring Finish Operators. We are looking for a professional who is enthusiastic and safety conscious to work full time for our company. Reporting to the Supervisor the operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment while excavating and working around other ground crew. Our busy season begins at the end of March but conditions may allow for a sooner start time.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate various heavy equipment in a safe manner
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the equipment; including lubricating and cleaning
- GPS knowledge considered an asset
- Willing to assist ground crew when machine is not in use
- Excavator / back hoe
- Dozer
- Packer
- Rubber Tire loader

Qualifications:

- 5+ years within the underground division of the construction industry
- 10+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50lbs on a regular basis
- Willing to work out of town as required
- Ability to work long hours with some weekends and overtime
- Must comply with KLS’ zero tolerance policy and complete the pre-employment drug & alcohol and fit testing
- Strong critical thinking, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have a clean driving record and provide commercial drivers abstract with resume
