Bureau Veritas is looking for a **Laboratory Analyst - Geology**to join our environmental laboratory in Saint-Laurent, QC.

**Your main responsibilities are**:

- To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation;
- Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses;
- Provide input to corrective action procedures;
- Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained;
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work;
- Any other related tasks.
- Have a B. Science in Geology or equivalent;
- ** Experience with m**icroscopes (for asbestos crystal identification in soils), STRONG asset;**:

- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills;
- Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook.

**Work conditions**:

- Work schedule: day/evening and every second Saturday or Sunday;
- Needs to be available for overtime (1-2h/day) from May to December (high season);
- ** Please note that flexibility for overtime is required to meet business needs.** **It's important to note that overtime is not optional in this role. You will be expected to work the additional hours as directed by your supervisor, even if the need arises unexpectedly on a given day.**:

- Status: Full time, 37.5h/week;
- Ability to work on your feet for long hours.
