**Position Summary**:
The People and Culture Associate is responsible for delivering timely, accurate and confidential client service to leaders, staff and faculty including triaging and responding to inquiries, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and acting as the department lead for systems administration including the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System. The position works closely with all People & Culture team members and will be exposed to employee and labour relations, records and systems management, pension and benefits. With a focus on engagement, the Associate participates in the development and coordination of JIBC’s reward and recognition programs.

The People and Culture team plays a key role in driving the evolution of the culture and performance of JIBC, creating an inclusive work environment that brings out the best of each unique person for the success of JIBC as a whole. **Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field
- 2 years of recent experience in human resources, including experience in a unionized environment, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training will be considered
- Excellent business communication skills, both written and spoken as well as strong business writing and reporting skills
- Experienced working with leaders and employees at all levels of an organization is essential
- A strong client/service focus with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and incorporating HR best practices
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness to proactively resolve issues
- Effectively manage competing priorities to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or progress towards this designation is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in full-cycle recruitment and ability to drive proactive recruitment
- Previous experience managing a casual employee pool is an asset
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality on sensitive HR matters
- Proven ability to positively contribute to an engaged, fun and results-driven team

***What JIBC Offers**:
Fair Comparison/Excluded/Faculty Equivalent: We offer a total compensation package that includes a benefit plan, which includes Extended Health and Dental Benefits after three months, and enrollment in the College Pension Plan upon hire. In addition, we offer 20 vacation days and 10 Personal Days annually (pro-rated in first year), as well as generous other leave entitlements.
**Salary Range**:
$61,316 - $81,755 annually - Fair Comparison Faculty Equivalent Compensation Salary Grid 5
The Compensation Range shown reflects JIBC's range for the role: between 85% and 100% of the sector range control point. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred, or promoted between 85% - 94% of the control point, based on the knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the role, with exceptions in the 95% - 100% range.
