Bridge to Care is operating throughout the Province of Alberta with its corporate office based in Spruce Grove, AB. Bridge to Care is a Not for Profit Healthcare and Disability Service Organization that is primarily focused in providing services to special needs families of Alberta. Bridge to Care has identified the need for a new management role: that of Human Resources Manager. Under the direction of the CEO or the successful incumbent will have the opportunity to assist with creating a positive culture and work environment as a contributing member of the Senior Management Team.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible to provide leadership and direction to Bridge to Care in all areas of finance and human resource management including recruitment and retention of competent human resource personnel and the development of programs and services that effectively serve the human resource needs of the organization.

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Duties include provision of human resource advice and services in the areas of human resource planning, recruitment, hiring, termination, employee orientation, job description development, performance planning, and employee recognition and policy development.

This position requires management, interpersonal and financial analysis skills; knowledge of organizational development, excellent written and verbal skills and knowledge of grant writing and reporting.

**The Human Resource Manager will**:

- Undertake all Human Resource functions of Bridge to Care including: recruitment, retention and planning.
- Implement policies and ensure clear and consistent internal and external communication and information to stakeholders, staff and management.
- Advocate for the agency on a local and provincial level; attend meetings with other agencies and organizations.
- Ensure effective communication within the community; learn and understand the needs of the public.
- Act as a positive change agent and ensure open and transparent communication during organizational transitions due to policy and process improvements.
- Instill a ‘team’ concept across the organization with a focus on staff engagement and an emphasis on Bridge to Care mission and vision.
- Provide leadership based on high integrity, honesty and active listening.
- Manage and develop staff growth, engagement and morale.
- Build trust and teamwork.
- A proven skill set as a clear and transparent communicator; being organized and thorough in preparation, and an excellent example and mentor to staff within the agency are essential.
- The successful incumbent will have the ability to listen, observe and read between the lines in discussion and negotiations.
- Working in a unique and diverse environment, this position requires a record of accomplishment collaborating with leadership to strategize and prioritize projects, programs, and issues.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Certificate and/or Diploma in Human Resources with at least 1 year of HR experience. Preference of Chartered Human Resource Professional Certificate.
- Knowledge of contemporary principles of human resource management;
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
- Skill in problem analysis and resolution
- Experience dealing with non-profit funding agreements and/or governance structures
- Strong financial, fiscal and business acumen.
- Current within 12 months, Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Populations Check.

**Schedule**:Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-4:30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

**Experience**:
