**Equipment Operator IV**:
**(CUPE, Full-time, Regular)**

The City of Pitt Meadows is hiring an Equipment Operator IV to perform maintenance and construction on a variety of our municipal facilities. This is a new position to support our expanding Operations Division.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations and Assistant Manager of Operations, this position involves the skilled use, servicing and maintenance of various medium to large sized equipment such as rubber tire hydraulic backhoes, tandem axle dump trucks, and tractor mowers with booms. They are also responsible for maintaining routine records and may direct others in safely operating equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12 and considerable related experience in the operation and servicing of applicable heavy construction and maintenance equipment; or an equivalent combination training and experience.
- Valid B.C. Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Experience and working knowledge of medium to heavy construction equipment such as rubber tired industrial tractors with flail mowers, hydraulic backhoes, tandem axel dump trucks, single axel trucks with sanders and snowplows, and other equipment used for excavations.
- Knowledge of operating diesel and gasoline motors.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting while managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Ability to safely work outdoors in any weather condition.
