Requisition ID: 130221 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **_ Purpose:_** The Manager, Regulatory Remediation Reporting, Global Regulatory Relations will be responsible for the initial build-out and ongoing management of the regulatory / supervisory reporting framework and solutions, as guided by the Global Regulatory Relations mandate and strategy. **_Accountabilities:_** The Manager will be responsible for global regulatory relations reporting, as directed by the Director, Regulatory Remediation and Reporting; and the Global Regulatory Relations mandate and strategy. - ** Overall responsibilities**: - Responsible for the development and enhancement of regulatory and supervisory reporting to provide an enterprise view of supervisory priorities, emerging trends and risks, engagement, reporting metrics for senior management, synchronicity of regulatory and supervisory initiatives across Scotia’s global footprint for all regulators - Once in BAU, the Manager will be responsible to work with the team on the ongoing governance, maintenance, reporting of all regulatory engagements across the regions and business lines The role and respective responsibilities will be divided into phases. Phase 1 - Initial Build-out and development of reporting metrics, framework, processes and training Key accountabilities to support the Regulatory Remediation and Reporting team to - Build a comprehensive framework to centrally manage all reporting for regulatory engagement and regulatory findings, including reviews, examinations, inquiries, meetings, performance / risk metrics relationship management - Develop an enterprise framework to centralize tracking and remediation of regulatory issues and findings - Work with our three Lines of Defense partners globally to successfully guide deliverables, and align and prioritize to the Bank’s strategic initiatives - Develop a robust framework to ensure the integrity of data is validated through QA process and audit validation, followed by delivery to the regulators or senior management - Develop and implement a framework to manage the central calendar of regulatory engagement for all regulators globally - Understand, identify, and create a reporting framework to ensure governance, oversight and real-time engagement with the regions and business lines - Develop and manage enterprise-wide, integrated reporting tools across regions and business lines to automate manual reporting processes and develop dashboards / KRIs / KPIs - Responsible for developing the processes and training for the items above, to be adopted across regions and business lines Phase 2 - Regulatory Reporting for Findings, examinations, regulatory interactions Key accountabilities: - Responsible to gather key regulatory findings / trends and related information to develop targeted reporting and metrics (KPIs/KRIs) for regulatory reporting to the Global Compliance leadership team and other key stakeholders - Manage existing data analytics tools to further augment performance and risk metrics - Ongoing review and process improvement of existing reporting to ensure most relevant and dynamic reporting is maintained - Responsible for maintenance, enhancements and data integrity of the GRR SharePoint site - Development of new reporting, metrics, dashboards as required - Responsible for continuous outreach to the Regulatory Relations coverage teams globally - Will work closely with the broader Global Regulatory Relations teams who are responsible for regulatory engagement and examination management, and regulatory advocacy. **_ Education/Experience:_** - 3-5+ years of regulatory compliance reporting experience with financial services - Strong track record of work with regulatory management or Compliance reporting - Proficiency in MS Office products (not limited to Access, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), Alteryx, SharePoint development - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related discipline - Knowledge of Spanish is nice to have, but not necessary Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
