Sunrise Bakery is a large commercial bakery located on the west end of Edmonton. The company tradition began in 1963 and has expanded since to facilitate many customers across Canada and the United States. The small bakery ambience amongst 80+ persons is maintained by daily contact on a first name basis between staff and management. Staff retention levels remains unsurpassed, with many clocking in 10 years and 20 years of service.

Sunrise Bakery is currently seeking a reliable, hard-working Mixing Operator to add to our team. This individual must possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. This position is vital to our operations and provides long-term employment and growth opportunity.

The Mixer Operator's regular duties include:

- Operating industrial mixers in a safe and productive manner.
- Following recipes and mixing ingredients to customer specifications.
- Completing pre and post op procedures.
- Use of scales and scaling ingredients.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-6 months experience in a bakery setting as a mixer is required.
- Experience in a food processing plant would be considered an asset.
- Must have previous experience reading recipes and mixing ingredients as per customer specifications.
- **Must be willing and able to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis.**:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time while completing repetitive tasks.
- Fast moving environment that requires a certain hand-eye coordination and quick hand response.
- Must speak, read, and write English.
- Adherence to quality and food safety procedures is a must.

We currently have openings in both the morning and afternoon shifts. Morning shift runs typically from 5:00am - 3:00pm and the afternoon shift hours will typically be 3:00pm-1:00 am. (10 hour shifts in a 24 hour schedule).

Preference for shift will be asked but is not guaranteed.

There is no bus service available for employees. Employees must have a reliable means of transportation to and from work.
