**Overview**

The Business Analyst will perform the following functions:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and business needs.
- Lead Sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, and demos.
- Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of business processes, data practices, and current legacy systems.
- Conduct and document a current-state and future-state analysis.
- Identify gaps in gathered requirements and facilitate reconciliation and verification among business and vendor teams.
- Facilitate the sign-off of business requirements for release.
- Provide clear communication of business requirements to the project team.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing for releases.
- Lead training initiatives for business stakeholders and vendor teams.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst implementing project management formalities in a fast-paced municipal or governmental affairs environment
- University degree or college diploma in an information technology discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems Management, IT Business Analysis, etc..) or equivalent combination of education
- Capacity and experience to take ownership of an all-inclusive business analysis work package with deliverables, including but not limited to business requirements documentation, business process design, business context diagram, use cases, data requirements and mapping, root cause analysis, and impact analysis
- Background in data analysis
- Previous involvement or experience contributing to data and BI projects
- Experience with SQL
- Ability to think independently with an adept business acumen, along with the ability to conceptualize and analyze high-stakes business scenarios
- Expertise in the identification, documentation, and validation of current-state processes and capabilities
- Winning record of providing businesses with comprehensive solutions by clearly defining needs
- First-rate interpersonal ability coupled with excellent verbal and written communicative skills
- Business System Analysis experience
- Proven record of success as a lead business analyst managing a project team within a large and highly complex environment
- Strong team leader and contributor bringing excellent skill in communication, relationship management, consensus building, and stakeholder engagement
- Extensive knowledge of Scrum and agile methodology

**Desirable Attributes**
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation from International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
