Director of Underwriting

**Responsibilities**:
Establish & maintain positive relationships with Clients, Lenders, External business partners and mortgage sales team.
- Structuring complex deals
- Obtain approvals while ensuring borrower suitability
- Interact with Lenders to negotiate mortgage approvals
- Ensures completion of due diligence prior to sending to a lender
- Stay current with lending guidelines, industry knowledge, competition & market trends
- Negotiate mortgage terms (where applicable) to satisfy the interests of the client
- Verify accuracy of supporting employment, down payment, appraisal, and financialdocumentation received
- Correspond with lenders to attain outstanding documentation needed to complete requirementsas outlined on the commitment to a “Broker Complete” status
- Work with fulfillment specialist to provide guidance to assist with revising and satisfying conditions
- Develop and build relationships with existing and new lenders as per needed
- Always maintain confidentiality of all client information and files
- Manage, maintain and coordinate office referrals.
- Manage the training process for new and existing agents
- Manage and resolve any issues that arise for Mortgage Agents including complaints fromunderwriters and clients
- Educate and train Sales Agents with policies, procedures and product update
- Manage and ensure FSCO policies and procedures are compiled by mortgage agents
- Provide input in Review/performance reporting with Agents
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry workshops and training

**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay

**Experience**:

Ability to Relocate:
