As a member of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, the Corporate Safety Advisor is responsible for four primary accountabilities: producing timely and accurate statistics and trends, maintaining safety registries, supporting the bids and proposal process, and assisting with continuous improvement of the corporate HSE management system.

**LOCATION: 25963 - 111 Ave, Acheson, AB T7X 6C8**

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of the comprehensive corporate HSE management system
- Collect and analyze statistical data, produce leading and lagging indicator trends, and ensure the information is accurately displayed in Power Bi
- Maintain MasTec Canada’s safety registry accounts with ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, and Avetta
- Assist with the bidding process related to HSE documentation and questionnaires
- Support the subcontractor prequalification and selection process
- Coordinate active WCB claims and monitor the modified work program
- Assist in the development and distribution of HSE alerts and lessons learned bulletins
- Prepare for and lead local monthly safety meetings
- Support the annual COR auditing process, and client audits as required
- Develop and maintain Donesafe software which houses various forms and reports. The software includes inspections, audits, incidents, safety observations, etc.
- Deliver internal safety training courses as needed, or source external training to satisfy training needs
- Monitor and maintain HSE SharePoint sites
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 5 years of appropriate H&S experience, including field experience
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate or Diploma
- Recognized safety designation (ex. NCSO, CHSC, etc.) is considered an asset
- Experience working in a professional environment (ex. corporate office)
- Prior construction industry experience is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of a Health, Safety and Environment Management System

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- Must be analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, decisive, display resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, timely and punctual - able to meet deadlines and provide information in a timely manner
- Possess clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Establish and maintains effective working relationships
- Position is highly collaborative in nature and must work effectively with the HSE department, as well as key cross functional and operational teams
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of uncertainty as deliverables/progress on projects may vary at times
