We are a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with autism. Our mission is to empower individuals and their families through evidence-based practices, compassion, and personalized care.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Maths Tutor to provide **in-home support**for students in grades 6-9. This part-time position is ideal for an individual passionate about helping children with autism develop their mathematical skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide individualized maths tutoring to students in grades 6-9, focusing on their specific learning needs and curriculum requirements.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate students with autism, utilizing strengths-based approaches.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes confidence and academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated experience tutoring maths to students in grades 6-9.
- Proven experience working with children with autism, understanding their unique learning styles and challenges.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum for grades 6-9 mathematics.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Relevant educational background (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field).
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
**Schedule**:
- Approximately 5
- 5+ hours per week, after school (around 4-6 PM).
- Tutoring sessions will take place at the student's home in Etobicoke.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
Work Location: On the road
