**What we do**

Meta is an IT Consulting Company which has been in the market for 30 years. Meta is consistently choosing to help customers overcome their IT challenges. The company can provide consulting expertise to support IT strategy, software development, outsourced operations, staff augmentation, and SAP Projects.
- Duties will include but not limited to:

- Prepare non-complex journal entries.
- Assist in preparation of month end reporting, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Support variance analysis and investigate abnormalities.
- Assists routine duties and preparation of working papers and financial statements.
- Review and analyze accruals.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Analyze and interpret financial information.
- Work with business entities to gather and disseminate information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Reconcile and prepare GST/HST.
- Update department financial policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Proposed resource must have achieved Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience working as a Financial Analyst
- Experience in financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proposed resource must possess knowledge of Accounting principles and Canadian public sector accounting standards.
- Proposed resource must possess ability to maintain accuracy and pay careful attention to detail. *Experience must be described in resume.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct and manage accounting figures and financial records. *Experience must be described in resume.
- Experience working in accounting systems creating processes, managing budgets, and internal controls *Experience must be described in resume.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with others *Experience must be described in resume.
- Proposed resource must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Available for onsite meetings in Edmonton as required.

Resources local to Edmonton are expected to work on-site, with occasional work from home opportunities.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$31.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
