We are seeking an experienced **Assembler** to join our dynamic team at our Casegoods Division in Kitchener.
**HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM**
**Location - Kitchener**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assemble case goods from component parts according to assembly drawings and in accordance with company Quality Assurance Procedures
- Change damaged or unacceptable parts on cases, as needed
- Sub-assemble cases; assemble drawers and fit drawer fronts
- Make Team Leader/Engineering aware of quality and/or machining problems encountered
- Meet/exceed established piecework standards
- Follow priorities for assembly (rush order, ship dates, etc.)
- Observe safe working practices in accordance with Krug Health and Safety; maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent experience
- Able to read blueprints/drawings; good math/measuring skills
- Good language communication skills both written & verbal.
- Experience using woodworking equipment (ie. table saw, drill press, air driver, chisel, staple gun)
- Experience using pneumatic/hand tools.
- Familiar with woodworking assembly components, e.g. hardware dowels, mini-fixes
- Working knowledge of sub-assembly components (drawer build and drawer fit)
- Good decision-making skills required to deal with quality and production issues; able to assess cases and make repairs
- Strong manual dexterity required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Full skill set is required to obtain the full rate of the position.
