JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Residential Clinical Manager, the PSW is a member of the health care team, accountable for the day-to-day provision of quality client and family centred care in a manner consistent with Clear Health Solution’s Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Direction. Under the direction of the RN/LPN, the Personal Support Worker performs assigned functions as an unregulated care provider, that support the health care team in assisting patients in activities of daily living, and supports the effective operation of patient care areas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Grade 12, or equivalent education
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- One year of full-time equivalent work experience within the past three years.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with the public in a

courteous manner
- Ability to function as a team member in a collaborative environment
- Ability to accept direction and work independently
- Satisfactory work performance in present position.
- Proven satisfactory attendance record.
- Available to work shifts, weekends and holidays
- Available to call in on short notice
- Current CPR certification and First Aid Certificate

DESIRABLE:

- Performs or assists patients with activities of daily living including basic hygiene as assigned (i.e., bathing, toileting, dressing, oral care, personal grooming) Assists with clients nourishment by preparing patients for meals and assisting with low-risk oral feeding as directed.
- Effectively communicates to the RN/LPN, in a timely, objective manner without interpretation, the following but not limited to: Client information specific to assigned activities, observed changes in clients’ condition, clients' findings and/or unusual occurrences, clients/family concerns, clients' behaviours i.e. agitation.
- Measures and records intake and output and relays data to assigned nurse. Documents care provided as per CHS documentation guidelines and policies.
- Operates lifts and utilizes assistive devices as directed. Ensures equipment is operational and intact. Follows procedures and advises appropriate staff in the event of concerns or in need of necessary repairs.
- Other related duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Full-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
