**PARALEGAL JOB POSTING**
We are seeking an experienced and savvy paralegal to join our team. Joining our passionate, committed team who are creating something special and required a strong legal foundation to sustain success into the future.
**What you will do**
- Reviewing shareholder agreements
- Evaluating and proposing resolutions for the company
- Creating NDA agreements
- Verifying and/or producing stipulated price subcontracts for civil construction
- Obtaining information, submissions, and other supporting documentation from parties related to prohibited action complaints
- Assigning legal administrative work and providing administrative supervision and guidance on legal procedures, policies, and practices to HR
- Work side by side with our accountants and existing professional team
**We want someone who will**:
- Take the initiative to proactively identify issues and recommend possible solutions
- Independently plan, organize, and prioritize a demanding workload in a changing legal and corporate environment
- Take responsibility for project/legal files to ensure all tasks are completed
- Mentor and provide guidance to departmental support staff
- Communicate accurately and effectively, both orally and in writing, using clear and concise language, while maintaining the confidentiality
- Research and prepare accurate chronologies and summaries of facts by analyzing documents to determine relevance
- Stay current with legal policy and procedure changes
**Your experience and educational background**:
4+ experience supporting lawyers with:
- Transactional work
- Corporate maintenance and commercial matters for various minute books (BC, federal, and
EPRs), LPs, societies, and family trusts
A two-year paralegal diploma
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
This position is restricted to those legally entitled to work in Canada.

The original company holdings from 90 years ago included: sawmills, a hardware store, lumber business, home and apartment building business, land holdings including farms, Islands, and lakefront properties.
