**Objective**: Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the building and the building equipment in the hotel in accordance with the standards set by the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- To assist with preventive maintenance including the bi-annual guest room PM checklist, completing daily work and repair orders such as paint, wallpaper, plumbing, and replacing equipment that is out of order.
- To monitor and respond to any emergencies according to the Emergency Plan and Procedures.
- To respond to the needs and wishes of guest and other occupants of the building within the framework of policies and procedures set by management.
- Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment including pumps, motors, fans, etc.
- Responsible for safe operation of the building, the daily repairs and maintenance of building items and oriented furniture and hotel furnishings.
- Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, and their hardware, floor and ceiling tiles, light fixtures, room fixtures, walls and wall coverings.
- Monitor and replace filters in all HVAC systems periodically.
- Daily check and log of all boilers, cooling towers, domestic hot water tanks, sprinkler system and mechanical rooms.
- Check sump pump levels and operation.
- Monitor all Fire Life safety equipment on a monthly basis - fire pumps, fire doors, fire panel, fire hose cabinets and fire extinguishers. Test Emergency Power generator on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for the storage, safekeeping handling of all tools, equipment and related parts and supplies.
- To bring to the attention of the Department Head the status of equipment and the need for supplies and replacement parts.
- To ensure the operation of personal equipment and procedures are accordance with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Liaise with contractors; responsible for contacting, coordinating, assisting, signing work orders, checking that the building is secure when on site and leaving premises, reporting all contractors work status to the supervisors.
- Responsible for clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and all entrances until contractor arrives on site. Salt where necessary and maintain logbook.
- All other duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma with 2 years advanced vocational training or equivalent
- 3 years maintenance experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Previous hotel experience
- Must able to communicate well
- Must be able to work flexible hours

**Salary**: $19.49-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
