Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work. This means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and/or in the office on a scheduled rotation.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Broker Reporting Analyst is responsible for using analytics to interpret and present complex information in meaningful ways that help guide and support Regional and Corporate Business Development leadership in making business decisions and adding value to interactions with strategic brokers. This position is responsible for statistical analysis, forecasting, data integrity, and report and presentation design with respect to regional and corporate broker business performance, business development, program evaluation, and administration. The Broker Reporting Analyst provides guidance and oversight of the Broker Business Administrator position, and technical and operational support for the broker compensation programs and Regional and Corporate Business Development reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Data Analytics
- Applies analytics to support the partnerships between Regional Business Development and brokers (e.g., evaluate, identify, research, and recommend improvements to broker business problems, decisions, programs, policies, and procedures).
- Using analytics, identifies key performance indicators and links the analysis and insights to opportunities that support improvement in regional and national broker performance, program effectiveness, and operational effectiveness.
- Liaises/consults with Corporate Business Intelligence Services, Corporate Analytics, Systems, and/or vendors on the delivery of business system and process activities and to resolve complex issues.
- Consults with Regional and Corporate Business Development and national internal stakeholders to determine and document requirements for data, reports, analyses, service levels, data quality, and performance.
- Evaluates data quality, reports any issues and the scope/severity of their impact, and recommends potential resolutions.

Reporting and Administration
- Provides day-to-day technical and operational support for the broker programs and all areas of Regional and Corporate Business Development related to reporting.
- Conducts needs analysis and develops reporting on various elements of the broker business programs.
- Extracts data from the GIS and broker business systems and prepares monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting.
- Validates reports and data extracts to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and completeness.
- Develops and maintains procedures related to broker programs for audit purposes.
- Develops and maintains complex queries, spreadsheets, and reports (scheduled and ad hoc).
- Develops and maintains technical and descriptive documents, manuals, presentations, and templates.
- Performs forecasting for the compensation program.
- Performs informal audits of data integrity for all reporting, particularly where raw data and reports conflict with the business’s view.
- Provides analysis and support for reports, data, and statistics related to broker learning and development.
- Provides analysis and support to interpret findings and trends for various ad hoc reports for Regional and Corporate Business Development.
- Provides a consultative approach to translate data and reports provided by other stakeholders (e.g., analytics, product, actuarial) into consumable insights for Regional and Corporate Business Development.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of data validation and investigation techniques, data analysis, reporting, and reporting tools.
- Skill in business analysis practices, requirements gathering, documentation, validation, and translation of business requirements into technical specifications for data collection, integration, and presentation.
- Knowledge of data management practices, including data governance, data quality, data validation, and data security.
- Knowledge of the overall organization and functions of SGI and its business partners.
