Job Summary:
The Market Analyst is responsible to:

- Compile and produce detailed market reports, analyzing key metrics such as vacancy rates, absorption, inventory deliveries, and cap rates.
- Perform in-depth studies of major asset classes, focusing on market trends and activity in leasing and sales.
- Provide data-driven insights and forecasts to inform strategic business decisions and client presentations.
- Conduct canvassing activities, including site visits to confirm tenant information and monitor property conditions.
- Develop advanced skills in using Microsoft CRM for database management, data entry, and data verification.
- Manage and update CRM records, ensuring data accuracy for property, contact, and company information.
- Conduct detailed searches and data collection for availability, ownership, zoning, tenancy, and transactions.
- Upload and verify property listings, lease details, and sales data, maintaining system integrity through regular audits.
- Respond to broker requests for data and contribute to client-facing deliverables.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent required.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in research role; experience in commercial real estate preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues.
- Able to calculate and analyze key metrics and indicators (vacancy, absorption, inventory, new construction, cap rates, etc.).
- Experience preparing and delivering oral presentations.
- Must display proficient attention of detail.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
