The role of the Dishwasher is to provide fast and effective cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishware, glassware and pots, and to maintain the kitchen area ensuring cleanliness and tidiness. The ability to do some food prep and heavy lifting may be required. The Dishwasher must be capable of working effectively both unsupervised and within a team environment. Must be responsible for providing guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, dishes, glassware, pots, pans and equipment.

What you can expect to do throughout your shift
- Ensure that all dishes, pots, pans and cutlery, etc. are clean and sanitized.
- Pre-soak cutlery and coffee cups in solution and load them into the dishwasher.
- Use proper chemicals to sanitize items.
- Wash all pots, pans, inserts, etc. and clean kitchen equipment when called upon and as per cleaning schedule.
- Put dishes/pots and pans back in proper places throughout the kitchen and server areas.
- The dishwasher Trap is to be cleaned
- Keep the kitchen area floors swept, cleaned and washed at all times.
- Assist with prep work under the direction of the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
- Clean and organize all related work equipment and areas.
- Keep sanitation solutions up to company codes at all times.
- Set up dish area in the AM and closes down in the PM according to company procedures.
- Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of all dish machines.
- Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
- Clean dishes (including glassware and cutlery) are cleaned and put away in their appropriate place
- Completing assigned prep work.
- Trouble-shoot dishwasher machine malfunctions.
- Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters.
- Perform shift change and/or closing duties.
- Attend shift meetings and monthly meetings.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Keep the station around the dishwasher clean, mopped and free of water on the ground

Here is what we are looking for
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Food Safe Certificate preferred
- WHMIS certification is an asset
- Outgoing and professional
- Excellent communication
- Works well in a team atmosphere

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including PM shifts, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to respond to the employee or guest's needs.
- This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
- Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Frequently immerses hands in water.
- Ability to learn steward operations and work with equipment
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares.
- Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
- Do a combination of walking, squatting, sitting, kneeling and standing for an extended period of time
