**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Administrative and Medical Directors, the Manager, DI is responsible for leading CT & X-Ray Teams along with the DI Quality and Practice Program, and ensuring patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency on a daily basis. This is achieved through continuous monitoring to promote care that is patient centered, timely and efficient.

The Manager enables team members to coordinate and integrate services and encourages ongoing performance improvement. She/he maximizes the use of available resources to facilitate efficient patient throughput and an optimal patient experience. The Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, maintains open lines of communication with the Director/Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, staff in other departments, as well as external referring partners. This role will also include maintaining and updating policy and procedure manuals, training material and continuous quality improvements in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Manager, DI is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the DI Quality Program, including planning, leading, organizing and supervising the Quality Management Program, with a commitment to good professional practice, quality examinations, continuous improvement, and focus on customer needs.

**EDUCATION**:

- Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
- Bachelor degree performed; Masters degree an asset
- Certificate or Training in Quality Systems an asset

**EXPERIENCE**:

- A minimum of 5 years clinical management or leadership experience within a hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience in incremental leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Demonstrated leadership in planning and implementing change
- Demonstrated experience in using data to improve efficiencies and support patients, teams, and the care process
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Standards
- Demonstrated excellence in facilitation, communication, team building and problem solving skills
- Good work and attendance record required
