**Payroll and Accounting Administrator**
Reporting to the Controller, this role is a hybrid between payroll processing and accounting technician. It is responsible for full cycle payroll processing and supporting the Finance department with various other tasks such as AR, AP, reporting, etc.
**Responsibilities**:
- Full cycle payroll processing for employees in Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec;
- Bi-weekly and Monthly payroll reporting;
- Payroll year end - T4’s, reconciliation and reporting;
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters;
- Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions;
- Creating and maintaining employee records;
- Coordinating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data;
- Providing accounting assistance to the Finance department.
**Qualifications**:
- Enrolment in a recognized certificate program relating to Payroll administration (i.e. Canadian Payroll Association) or combination of education and experience required;
- Minimum one year directly related full cycle payroll processing experience on a computerized payroll system;
- Education in post secondary accounting course.
- Minimum one year accounting experience.
- Experience using Payworks would be an asset;
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online would be an asset;
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge with ERP software, specifically Epicor, would be an asset;
- Ability to analyze and problem solve;
- Strong time management skills;
- Highly organized;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience in a manufacturing setting an asset.
