**BI’s Needed - Nort Vancouver**

Posting on behalf of my clients:

- We are looking for a behaviour interventionists (BI) to implement ABA programs focusing on teaching communication, social skills, self-management and academic skills. You would be working 1:1 with students in their home & community and / or daycare.

No experience necessary - training and supervision will be provided by Sarah Dungait (BCBA) - Associate Consultant with Semiahmoo Behaviour Analysts Inc. (SBAI).

This is a great opportunity for those studying Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and other related disciplines.

Applicants must:
**Be fun and engaging**
Motivated to learn.
Be at least 19yrs old.
Have a clear criminal record check.
Be reliable.
Be willing to commit to 12-months minimum.
Must be available to attend team meetings.

Here is a little info about the teams:
**North Vancouver (Main Street) -**
- You would be working with a 4yr old Autistic boy supporting him in his daycare.
- We have a great relationship with his daycare and work as a team to implement behavioural strategies and intervention plans to support this student in following group activities, developing peer relationships, self-help skills (including toilet training) and working on communication goals.
- Training and ongoing supervision will be provided by Sarah Dungait BCBA and the North Shore Supported Child Development team.
- We are looking to cover the following times:
Monday 2.30-4.30pm

Wednesday 2.30-4.30pm

Friday 9.30-12.30 **and** 2.30-4.30pm
- This is a fun and unique experience to support a fun loving student in a daycare setting.

**North Vancouver (Grand Boulevard area)**
- Here you would be working with a sweet nonverbal 4yr old Autistic boy. This student uses a talker to communicate his needs and wants.
- Focus is on play, communication, self-help skills and preschool skills.
- Ideally looking for 2x sessions per week each 2x hours in length.
- Preferred times include:
Monday 1-3pm or 4-6pm

Tuesday 4-6pm

Sat or Sunday 4-6pm
- You would also be expected to join team meetings and overlaps 1x per month. Team meetings are typically held on Monday mornings 9-11am / overlaps are scheduled typically in your sessions however the behaviour consultant is only available Mon-Fri between 9-5pm.

**Compensation will be based on experience.**

**Duties**:

- Conduct assessments to identify behavioural concerns and to help inform individualized behaviour plans
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals to teach and support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in behaviour management & learning strategies.
- Monitor and track progress through data collection and analysis
- Follow written and individualized programs designed specifically for the student that follow evidence based practice.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
