**Quality Assurance/Quality Control Associate**

**Location**

Thorold, ON, Canada

**Work Hours**

Full-Time, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm

**General Duties**
- Investigate internal issues such as product non-conformities, deviations
- Maintain logs and records to track frequencies of issues
- Efficiently complete and close out files related to issues (CAPAS, Non conformities, deviations etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis and Risk assessments
- Regularly monitor lab and manufacturing environments to ensure adherence to SOPs
- Regularly monitor lab and manufacturing environments for general maintenance of cGMP/cGLP workspaces
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment and machinery
- Monitor system outputs to ensure Norgen is meeting Key performance indicators and that processes are kept in control
- Schedule and monitor the progress of Quality Control Experiments, assist with performing experiments as needed
- Monitor suppliers, ensure proper paperwork for supplier validation and verification is kept up-to-date
- Various health and safety related tasks.

**Education and Experience**

Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Genetics, Chemistry or related science field

Experience in Quality control and/or quality assurance

General experience working in a lab

Discretion, good judgement, organizational skills, initiative and ability to work independently

Adaptability and Versatility

Willing to learn

Strong organizational, quantitative and problem-solving skills

Able to approach problems both logically and creatively

Ability to perform assignments without immediate supervision

Comfortable with a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 is an asset

Familiarity with Six-Sigma is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $1.00 per hour
