We’re growing and looking for a motivated and skilled 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join our busy automotive and tire shop in Stony Plain, AB, job to start ASAP

Position Overview
As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work closely with the Head Mechanic and Shop Manager to perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, stay organized, and is eager to learn and grow within the trade.
Key Responsibilities
Automotive Repair & Maintenance
- Diagnose issues by road testing vehicles and inspecting systems/components
- Perform general repairs, including:
- Front-end work
- Engine diagnostics & repair
- Tune-ups
- Brake systems
- Oil changes
- Tire installation & rotation
- Review repair plans with the Shop Manager or Head Mechanic before starting work
- Communicate any unexpected issues promptly
- Support team members with repairs as needed Shop Duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Perform daily shop clean-up (sweeping, tidying, etc.)
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials
- Notify management when supplies or disposal services are needed
- Explain repairs and diagnostics clearly when required
- Treat all customer vehicles with care and respect
- Take ownership of your work to ensure high-quality repairs and zero comebacks What We’re Looking For
- REGISTERED Apprentice (1st-3rd Year) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks efficiently
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Schedule Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM (During Seasonal months, extra hours)
