**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform manual snow removal on designated walkways using shovels and other hand tools.
- Ensure timely and thorough service delivery during snow events, adhering to assigned schedules and routes on a 24/7 on-call basis.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff regarding job status and other relevant information.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your crew, and the public.

We have two supply yards one in Abbotsford the other in Burnaby; labourers start their shifts from these two locations, depending on their base location.

**We Are Looking For**:

- Subcontractors with 6 to 30 workers each: This opportunity is perfect for small to mid-sized teams, such as those in landscaping, roofing, and similar trades, looking to boost their winter income. Subcontractors with over 10 workers who consistently handle snow clearing will receive a higher rate of compensation compared to those with smaller teams of less than 10 workers.

**Requirements**:

- Teams of 2 or 3: All hand crew teams operate in teams of 2 or 3 people. Therefore, you must have at least one driver with vehicle for every one or two passengers.
- Dependability: We seek subcontractors with reliable and punctual teams who take pride in their work.
- Equipment: Each team should have a winter-worthy vehicle, data-linked smart phones with car chargers or portable battery packs. We use the Yeti App for routing and tracking, and each team member must download this app to do their job. We provide all necessary training to set your team up for success.
- Language: Teams should be fluent in English and be able to effectively communicate with other crews and dispatch.
- Supplies: We provide the Yeti App, ice melt bags, buckets, shovels, and rulers.

**Compensation**:

- Subcontractor rate of $42 to $50 per hour per labourer, depending on number of crews provided and whether the shift is a salt-only shift or a snow-clearing shift.
- Payment is issued promptly twice-per-month upon completion of work and submission of required documentation.
