Cattle Buyer

Titan Livestock is currently looking for an eager and energetic individual to fill the position of full time Cattle Buyer.

**Responsibilities**:

- General trading, operations and logistics
- Purchase feeder cattle from Auction Sale Barns on order from manager
- Purchase and sell country cattle
- Monitor and purchase through electronic cattle auctions
- Responsible for regular communication with Titan buyers and customers
- Quality control on cattle purchased and sold
- Ensure communication between sellers and purchasers in regard to quality issues and resolutions
- View, sort and describe feeder cattle in the country
- Sorting, weigh ups and loading cattle on delivery days and collection of proper documentation
- Load Out Sheets & Shipping Forms - ensure sheets are sent out for country cattle feeder purchases and fed shipments
- Brand Inspections, A-form/manifests - ensure inspectors are booked, instructions are sent out and documentation is completed properly
- Scale Tickets/Pay Weights - Assist payments and sales in collecting information and documentation for payments and creating sales invoices
- Complete general administrative or office tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 8-10 years experience handling cattle including processing, sorting, loading
- Able to listen attentively, take and follow direction
- Able to work independently with little supervision when required
- Excellent communication and strong organization skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must have a positive team player attitude
- Must have attention to detail
- Follows policies and procedures and completes tasks correctly and on time

- Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments
- Physically fit and able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs and to bend and kneel with comfort
- Must be flexible and able to work days, evening, weekends, holidays and longer hours/days during busy seasons
- Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, oral)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Own transportation is required
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time
- Willing to relocate to the Moose Jaw, SK area

**Salary**: From $54,000.00 per year
