**We are excited to be recruiting for Banquet Servers/Set Up Staff at the Norwood Hotel**

The Norwood has always been an innovative leader in the hotel industry. The Norwood Hotel has an interesting and diverse history dating back to the latter part of the 1800’s. The earliest records available indicate a photograph of the hotel in 1895. In 1937, the Hotel came under the ownership of the late Merle Sparrow and has been operated by the Sparrow family ever since. This longevity in ownership makes the Norwood the oldest operated family hotel in Manitoba and one, if not the oldest in all of Western Canada.

The primary function of a banquet server is to ensures the food and beverage service, set ups, and teardowns of all function rooms and conference spaces are done to a standard which not only meets but exceeds guests’ expectations in a professional, safe and efficient manner.

**Duties**:
1. Ensure that all guests are enjoying their food & beverage experience in the hotel.

2. Sign in, read the BEO’s and consult the Supervisor for duties.

3. Ensure and assist co-ordination of function room set-up, tabletop completed to standard and timelines.

4. Take corrective action if a guest is not satisfied with the meal or any part of the service.

5. Always promote teamwork and co-operation with co-workers and other operating departments.

6. Display a positive and professional manner and serve all guests with a smile.

7. Have a good knowledge of the Hotel’s Facilities, services and events being held.

1. Previous Banquet Serving Experience (1+ Years)

4. Reliable, honest and hardworking

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
