**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Maintenance Utility is a member of the Environmental services team whose role is to maintain a clean, safe and functional environment within assigned areas throughout York Care Centre.

This includes performing building maintenance and minor repairs; e.g. painting, drywall finishing, assembling equipment, etc. The incumbent will be required to operate all equipment utilized within the Environmental Services Department and perform preventative maintenance checks and refer equipment / work requiring maintenance repair to appropriate sources. Perform ground maintenance, perform routine and scheduled floor maintenance and performing functions associated with waste management and the rearrangement / transfer of furniture / equipment are other responsibilities associated with the Maintenance Utility accountabilities. Additionally, they are responsible for functions associated with materials management; e.g. receiving, ordering, and stocking supplies, monitoring and documenting inventory etc. The Maintenance Utility also ensures all products / chemicals used in support of environmental services are properly labelled, properly prepared, replenished when necessary, and are kept in locked areas in accordance with departmental procedures.

Part-time hours: 22.5-37.5 per week

**Salary**: $18.72-$20.17 per hour
