Valbruna ASW Inc., the premier specialty steel-making facility located in Welland, ON, has an immediate requirement for the following position:
**Crane Operator**

Valbruna ASW Inc. operates a dynamic and versatile facility and has a long and storied history in the steel-making business, with roots in Welland dating back to 1918. Recent upgrades to equipment combined with improvements in efficiency and production flexibility have placed us among the premier specialty steel producers in North America. Reporting to the Melt Shop Supervisor, the Crane Operator’s **duties and responsibilities** will include some of the following:

- Operates overhead cab cranes to lift, move, transport and position material/equipment safely, effectively and responsibly in a heavy industrial environment.
- Completes inspection reports and maintain housekeeping of cranes being operated.
- Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE.
- Performs all other tasks and duties associated with the job.
- High Secondary Diploma or Equivalent.
- Demonstrates at least 3 years of crane experience or operating heavy equipment in a steel manufacturing environment.
- Shows an understanding of cranes and the ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy (lifting capabilities, weight restrictions, etc.).
- Must be able and willing to work a variety of shifts, including nights as well as overtime as required.
- Proven ability to learn new things and be flexible in response to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibits a strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Takes initiative and is able to work independently or as part of a team.

**Salary**: $24.22 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)
