**Overview**:
Teamendous is a tea room that brings traditional Chinese tea brewing to North York, Canada. We are passionate about exploring and sharing the world of tea, its rich history, and culture.

As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a delightful experience for our customers by preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of tea and tea-specialty beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate and maintain all equipment used in beverage preparation, including tea brewers, espresso machines, and grinders.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer customer inquiries and provide recommendations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of tea, coffee, and other supplies, notifying management of any shortages or restocking needs.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down workstations, restocking supplies, and cleaning.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and new beverage techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a barista, tearista, or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tea preparation techniques and equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with proficiency in both **English and Mandarin**.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- A passion for traditional tea and a desire to share that passion with customers.
- **English and Mandarin proficiency is a must**

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
