Description

General building maintenance including forklifts, lighting, doors, loading docks, plumbing, electrical repair and installations.

Inspect and examine machinery to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.

Enhance equipment performance by recommending improvements and implementing.

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.

Works on equipment from drawings, written and / or verbal instructions. Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

Skills & Experience

Completion of an Industrial Mechanic / Millwright program recognized by the Ontario Colleges Licensed Industrial Mechanic / Millwright (an asset)

Licensed Industrial Electrician (an asset)

Ability to make sound decisions with effective problem-solving skills

Highly organized

Positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with all team members

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $25.00-$37.00 per hour
