**Job Summary**
The Partner Contact Counsellor works with the PAR facilitators to assist current and past partners of the PAR group members. This employee assists victims/partners to identify and understand domestic violence. This can include safety planning, psycho-education. This contact is primarily through phone contact, however, some in person support can be provided.

Resolve Counselling Services is committed to addressing systemic oppression as a root cause of Intimate Partner Violence. Our PAR program attempts to address the root causes of IPV, including the roles that patriarchal and colonial systems play in perpetuating abuse. We are seeking a group facilitator who is passionate about fostering change while working from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens.

**Responsibilites**
- Prepare and mail packages for the partners at the beginning of each group session
- Researching and preparing new material as required.
- Provide safety planning and counselling service.
- Ensure service delivery to clients is quantified.
- Maintain and encourage professional standards.
- Take part in community and government activities related to violence and women.
- Understand the impact and work with a population that has experienced trauma and gender based violence.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline is essential; an emphasis on domestic violence and women’s issues is preferred.
- One to three years clinical experience would be an asset.
- Understanding of intersections of systemic oppression, including patriarchy, colonialism, racism and their contribution to violence.
- Cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Current knowledge of resources available for victims of domestic abuse in eastern Ontario is essential.
- Ability to educate diverse audiences on various topics effectively.
- A driver’s license and clean driving abstract is essential.
- Proficient in administrative tasks related to data collection, report writing and documentation.
- Ability to speak other languages is an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.84-$27.46 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
