We are on the lookout for empathetic, skilled, and kickass psychotherapists who will be instrumental in enriching our community services in Waterloo. While we are based in KW, we appreciate the diverse experience and encourage those who hold membership in good standing with their respective social work regulatory bodies across Ontario to apply.

The ideal team member really cares for people and their wellbeing, has tremendous energy, and has a commitment to managing a consistent client caseload ranging from 5-7 sessions per day across 3 to 5 days. Transformation Counselling will provide clients, billing services, training services (i.e. group and 1 on 1 consultations, group support, and various modality specific trainings on a bi-weekly and monthly basis), scheduling assistance, system support, and custodian services. Billing operations are seamlessly managed by our dedicated staff, allowing you to focus on what you do best - being a badass therapist that helps your people achieve their goals.

If you are bringing over an existing caseload from your private practice or current clinic, an additional compensation pay will be paid to you per client and per session conducted with them at Transformation Counselling.

We also offer the opportunity to become a psychotherapy supervisor, train students and new therapists, and partner with management to open up your own clinic

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and support a robust caseload through clinic referrals;
- Deliver effective clinical counselling and treatment to individuals, and facilitate 3rd party communications as necessary (i.e. reports for physicians, communicating with the clients support network, etc.);
- Meticulously document clinical notes and progress for each session;
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and establish the required clinical intervention level;
- Craft elements of treatment plans employing appropriate therapeutic models;
- Offer case management support, coordinating multiple service avenues when necessary;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the counselling profession, best practices, and ethical standards;
- Engage in periodic strategic meetings with the management team to discuss clinical practices and client progress.

**Qualifications**:

- Current good standing with a recognized social work or counselling college;
- Has 1 year of experience;
- Possession of Current Professional Liability Insurance, or willingness to acquire it before starting;
- Has existing patients/caseload from their current practice;
- Commitment to client confidentiality as per PHIPA regulations;
- Proactive engagement and high-quality customer service in responding to new client inquiries;
- Proficient in establishing trust and rapport with a diverse clientele;
- Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention and problem-solving.

**Preferred Assets**:

- Certifications with various evidence-based psychotherapy models such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, EFT, IFS or ACT.
- 5 or more years of experience
- A full or semi-full caseload of private practice clients that you would transition to Transformation Counselling upon starting.

**Education**:

- Master’s Degree in a psychotherapy/social work/counselling (required), unless currently in progress
