We are currently a hiring a Cooker Operator Technician This position will start as a seasonal position with the potential of permanent employment.

**Job Duties**:

- Maintains Constant communication with shift mechanic for quick resolutions to/for pen adjustments, feed jams, and other cooker related problem.
- Prior to start up check all thermometers, pressure gauges, charts and record them on the continuous checklist (All readings must be within specifications), if not adjust to meet specifications and record your changes to the continuous checklist.
- Requires mechanical skills, knowledge of equipment & computers
- Ability to produce a quality product consistently and safely
- Must be familiar with all quality control checks, procedures and documentation in this area.
- May be required to assist plant mechanic
- Responsible for supervising that the cooker helper is oiling and greasing cooker, and also performing chlorine checks.
- Monitor flow of product, temperatures etc.
- Any other task or function as requested by supervisor

**Qualifications for this position**:

- Must thoroughly know & verify the proper connections and setup prior to start up.
- Must understand start-up, shutdown & running procedures for all equipment and all safety functions.
- Must know the location and function of all Emergency Stops and controls.
- Must monitor & maintain supply of incoming and outgoing product, keep the line running properly, make adjustments, identify & correct issues or problems mechanically & for quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Able to successfully complete in depth thermal process training.
- Able to work in hot, noisy, and physically demanding work environment.
- Identify to employees all risks, hazards & preventatives measures
- Working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Excel)
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.

Supplemental pay types:
