**Dental Assistant (Level II) - Full-Time, No Weekends**

**Location**: Jade Dental, Ottawa (Chinatown)
**Compensation**: $28-$35/hour (based on experience) and subsidized on-site parking
**Schedule**: Full-time, Permanent, Monday-Thursday 8:45am to 4:30pm and every other Friday (no weekends), with one evening a month.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated **Dental Assistant (Level II)** to join our team and help us provide the best possible experience for our patients.
- Mandarin language skills are an asset (preferred but not mandatory), given the community we serve._

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare instruments, materials, and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Assist dentists chairside during treatments and procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort.
- Maintain accurate digital records using dental software (Dexis, AbelDent).
- Sterilize instruments and uphold infection control standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
- Help schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team across various specialties, including orthodontics and pediatrics.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- **Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred).**:

- Current HARP certification.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control.
- Familiarity with dental software systems (**AbelDent**) is highly desirable.
- Experience with **Dexis (X-ray software)** is an asset but not mandatory.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an asset but not required.
