**Overnight Laundry Aide Details**:
**Location**:Berwick Royal Oak, 4680 Elk Lake Dr, Victoria, BC

**Status**: Part-Time

**Night Shift Wage**:$20.97 + $1/ Hour

**Important Info**: The position is laundry aid but will be performing janitorial duties as well; First Aid certification is an asset (but willing to train)

**Schedule**:10:30 pm to 7:00 am, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and vacation coverage as needed)

**Start Date**:ASAP

**Job Summary**:
Perform laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures.
- Fold, count and stack linens following approved laundry procedures.
- Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens.
- Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas.
- Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens.
- Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

- Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press and clothing labeler.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Physically able to carry out duties of the position.
