This is primarily a Monday through Friday position, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but it may include some commitments outside of these hours in the event of an emergency, to respond to weather events, or maintenance issues.

**What your day will look like**:
The Carter House is looking for a full-time facility maintenance person to provide and/or oversee the safe and efficient operation of our building and property.
Your job duties may include but are not limited to:

- Responding to daily facility maintenance needs.
- HVAC and boiler systems.
- Managing the condition of the facility. This entails minor repairs, electrical and basic plumbing repairs, painting, patching, changing lights and general maintenance and care.
- Managing the condition of the grounds. This includes snow removal, lawn and yard maintenance and tree care.
- Organizing tools, equipment and storage areas organized and clean.
- Managing and overseeing outdoor building maintenance.
- Snow removal and ice management during the winter months.
- Fleet vehicle support and maintenance.

**Job requirements**:

- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search upon employment
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, drywalling, and painting.
- Knowledge of power tools.
- Able to work safely and follow safety guidelines and protocols.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- The ability to work within a team structure.

**Compensation**:
**Salary**: We offer a competitive salary ranging from $27-$31 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
