**ATER TREATMENT OPERATOR - WT1/WT2**
- Animakee Wa Zhing #37 is looking for a full-time Water Treatment Plant operator for the Community of Regina Bay,
near Sioux Narrows, Ontario.

SUMMARY:
The Water Treatment Operator role offers interested personnel the opportunity to receive technical and hands-on
training in several areas related to water treatment, water distribution & water quality under the supervision of senior
areas:

- Water quality monitoring in water treatment plants and drinking water distribution systems.
- Operation & Maintenance of Water Treatment Facilities
- Water Quality Analysis
- Data management and analysis
- Water Treatment Processes
- Water Distribution
- Source Water Protection of drinking water and environmental water quality
- Decision-making and governance associated with water quality

DUTIES:

- Assume the role of the Certified Operator for the AWZ#37A Regina Bay Water Treatment Plant
- Work towards advancing your certification to a Class 3 Certification
- Perform all operational duties required to operate and maintain a Class 3 Water Treatment Facility
- Perform bacteriological sampling weekly and share results with vested entities,
- Conduct operational checks; adjusting, testing, or evaluating a process that controls the effectiveness or
- efficiency of a drinking water sub-system
- Adjusting or directing flow, pressure, or quality of water
- Maintain both personal and water subsystem records/logbooks
- Maintain cleanliness of Water Treatment Plant. Practice “good housekeeping”
- Participate in Training Opportunities as assigned
- Other duties as assigne

UALIFICATIONS:

- Must have a minimum class 1 water treatment certification. Class 2 WT certification is preferred
- Self starter and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Desire to work in the water treatment and distribution industry
- Valid driver’s licence
- Must be willing to travel and attend water and wastewater training events and or conference
