Summary: As an Alarm & Security Systems Technician, you will be a vital team member responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting alarm and security systems. With core skills in CCTV, computer networking, and low voltage systems, you will ensure the effective operation of surveillance equipment and security measures. Your premium skills in blueprint reading and electrical experience will be valuable in interpreting technical drawings and handling electrical components. Additionally, your relevant skills in telecommunication and power tools will support you in executing tasks efficiently and effectively. Join our team and contribute to safeguarding our clients' properties with your expertise in alarm and security systems. **Experience**: - Low voltage: 3 years (required) - Construction: 3-7 years Start Date: ASAP Job Duties - Installation (including prewiring, installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting) and maintenance of integrated security systems - Install low voltage cable for security cameras, card access systems, and alarm systems. - Terminate CAT5/6 cable with RJ45 and into a patch panel - Mount and focus IP cameras - Mount and terminate alarm panels - Mount network racks and wall enclosures - Install and terminate door strikes and card readers; and - Read blueprints and drawings. - Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. - Perform other tasks as required - Ability to travel and work throughout when required Technical skill set - Experience with low voltage system, access control, cctv, security systems, communications, home automation. - System cabling - Electronics knowledge - Use of digital voltmeter - Understanding wiring diagrams (component level experience not expected) - Understanding VLAN’s - Sub nets - Ability to configure and edit network setting on various hardware environments **Requirements**: - 4-7 years of experience installing and/or maintaining cabling, security cameras, alarm systems, access control systems, and/or similar experience. - Must have a valid full "G" license - Must have a clean driving record - Must be currently able to legally work in Canada - Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 - Must be able to reliably commute to and from the warehouse/job site **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $24-$30 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Weekends Work remotely: - No **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour **Experience**: - Low voltage: 3 years (required) - CCTV: 3 years (required) - Blueprint reading: 3 years (required) - Power tools: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
