- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Valid ABVMA license to practice veterinary medicine in Alberta
- Strong basis in medicine and/or surgery/dentistry
- Excellent communication, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with pet owners and staff members
- Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
